Marble

Construction marble is a stone which is composed of calcite, dolomite or serpentine that is capable of taking a polish.^[12] More generally in construction, specifically the dimension stone trade, the term marble is used for any crystalline calcitic rock (and some non-calcitic rocks) useful as building stone.

An immense mausoleum of Indian white marble is Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum in Agra, India, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It was built in Agra between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife, the Taj Mahal is the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage.
